Gisburn Forest Trails

Since the Gisburn trails have been upgraded there are now 2 fantastic new mountain bike trails, which rival the best Wales and Scotland have to offer by way of man made trails.
The Trails are:
  • The Blue
    • A short trail that is suitable for novices & younger riders, my 10 year old  can easily ride the whole route. this route is mostly firetrack with a few riverside runs and the way markers blue technical bits are real fun. Watch out for the wooden bridges and walk ways "The Xylophones", scary when wet especially when you are behind another rider!!  then finish with a gentle down hill of sweeping berms. Follow the blue arrows on the timber posts.
  • The Red Route
    •  A figure "8" is an 18km red grade trail with the unique Hully Gully & Bottoms Beck is a free flowing blue graded mix of surfaces that will challenge and entertain. Trails start from Cocklet Hill Car Park. There are some fantastic stretches and it is changing all the time thanks to a band of trail builders. There are black sections you can ride as well. Hully Gully is great fun, but can be treatcherous when wet and occasionally gets washed out. See youtube for the videos fo the Gisburn Roller Coaster.
